Level 4 Asset Manager:
The latest addition to Watertrain’s apprenticeship portfolio is the new Level 4 Asset Manager Apprenticeship Standard.
The apprenticeship has been developed by a mix of employers, including Anglian Water, Northumbrian Water, Environment Agency, National Grid and Network Rail, to support individuals across a range of industries who manage physical assets. Asset manager practitioners work in a range of industries that manage physical assets. This includes energy and utilities, manufacturing, mining, petrochemical, buildings, and transport. They may be employed by asset owning companies, outsourced services companies, or asset management consultants.
The delivery of the programme will be a mixture of classroom and remote delivery and will cover the following units:

- Policy, Strategy and Planning
- Risk and Contingency Planning
- Lifecycle Activities – Asset Information
- Lifecycle Activities – Operations and Maintenance
- Lifecycle Activities – Asset Creation and Disposal
- Assurance and Management Review
- ISO55001 and Maturity Assessment
- Improvement Roadmaps
Implementing Asset Management Plans
- Plan Implementation
- Communication Skills
- Problem Solving
Status: Approved for delivery
Typical duration to gateway: 18 months
Typical EPA period: 6 months
Maximum funding: £9000
EQA provider: Ofqual
