Network Construction Operations qualifications to become mandatory by 2025
April 2, 2024Bailey from South West Water is currently working towards his Level 3 Water Network Distribution qualification. Here he shares his experience of his apprenticeship so far.
Q1 – What is the most important thing you have learnt on your apprenticeship?
For me personally, the most important thing I learned was the importance of getting placements with different departments. In particular, my pressure management placement. I came into that having little knowledge about pressure management and came out with a good understanding.
Q2 – How has / will the apprenticeship support your job role?
I think the apprenticeship has made me more confident as a person which has then made me more confident in my job role. This has been shown in my leakage performance figures.
Q3 – How has / will the apprenticeship support your career?
The apprenticeship has allowed me to gain valuable work experience with different departments which is important.
Q4 – How well did Watertrain support you during the delivery of the apprenticeship?
I feel like Watertrain have supported me very well during the apprenticeship. My Learning Development Coach, Paul regularly contacts me to make sure that I am up to date with the work and asks if I require any support, which I appreciate.
